The greedy fellow

whats that

i want to try

Taro is so curious, when we are eating or drinking, he needs to check out what we are doing. Here's a picture of him, trying to find out, what is in our glasses...he will first sniffed around it then squeeze his head in there...so naughty.

More sleeping pictures

Taro's temporary pillow

Taro was actually resting on my palm for quite awhile and it got numbed. So i had to replace it with 2 remote controls so that our little piggy can sleep in peace.

So tired

So tired

Wow..i didnt know a kitten can snooze so loud... he is really tired from all the play, play he had for the past 2 nights at his breeders' place.

Currently (Saturday, 1.30am), "rage" is on TV and we are listening to it as we both do our work while Taro is sleeping on the sofa..Zzz-ing away and no matter how loud the music is ...nothing can wake him up...maybe i should try some food...

What's That?

what's that?

Taro has many weird habits and here's one of them:
He sort of sits and stands with his paws up and stares into empty space. Sometimes it feels really spooky because he is concentrating so hard in his game when all of a sudden he will be in that position.

Also, at times, in the middle of the night when he is walking around the house, he will pop into that position...

In this case,I was feeding him his veg when all of a sudden he was up like this and stood there for quite awhile, which gave me enough time to grab my camera.

Deep asleep

Snoring

So asleep

Cats do sleep alot and apparently, in some research, they claim that cats can sleep up to 16 hours a day and some cats sleep more than half their life away.

Well for Taro, sleeping is an essential need, however we are pretty sure that he will trade it with fun as long as there is a playmate available for him to stalk and chase after...

So greedy

Few days ago, when I was chopping and cleaning up the bak choy aka xiao bai chai, i decided to let Taro try a small bit of the greenie part. I called for him and showed him his treat (heehee..anything that is in my hand is his treat) and he came running (greedy pig) thinking it was something yummy..when my husband saw that, he said "he wont eat that"...BUT Taro proved us wrong, he actually ate it

SO i decided to be more adventurous ....

Today, i made some chicken sandwiches served with assorted salad ..while i was in the process, a thought came to me...heehee food tasting time...and i decided to let him try some of our boiled chicken breast and to my surprise, he loves it and even meowed for more...he went around looking and sniffing for more chicken breast...(heehee it was so funny)
But i decided not to give him anymore of it cos i boiled it with sea salt and a little pepper, which can be bad for cats...instead I gave him a small piece of spinach and he was happily eating it...what a piggy....anyways heres a picture of Taro eating his vege with his 2 hands ;)
(he had 2 pieces of it)

I love my veg

Pictures update

Need a break from my corporate accoutning books...have to grab my coffee and while i was doing my coffee, Taro was leaning over looking at me. He looks so curious, with his eyes moving around the kitchen stove looking at my busy hands. So I quickly grab a camera, wanting to capture this moment but ended up taking picture of us;p

We ended up with 8 shots but most of them i look really bad....bad angles so here 2 of the pictures i took that i really like, especially the 2nd one where Taro look at me and it seems like he is saying "what are you doing, dont need to study, is it?" ....so cute...KAWAII (japanese..in english cute)

Vet check

Today, the vet came over to our place to give Taro his 2nd vaccination. Firstly, he greeted the little fellow and said "OMG! He grew". At that moment, I popped out of our bedroom in a colourful shorts and a doggy picture t-shirt and said Hello Dr..is he too big? It was a funny moment, cause I think the doctor got a shock...

She was really cool...she talk to Taro and did a few regular check up. Overall he is in good shape. Doc also asked us a couple of questions and show us a couple of tips regarding to dental issue as Taro is a squash face kitty and such cats usually developed dental problems as their teeth are also squash....thus we were advise to give him RAW chicken wings or necks to chew and also massage his gums regulary (which is something we have to master cos he doesnt like pple to open his mouth).

Anyways, we were really proud of him as he didnt scream or scratch during the vaccination or during his de-worming. He whinned a little during temperature taking.

We also learnt from the vet that it is better for Taro to have another playmate as he may not be able to adapt to new animals when he is older. Especially in his situation, being a single child from the start(his mum only had one kitten). So now we are thinking whether we should adopt another kitten...which may mean more work for us but better for TARO....oh well we have to think it through carefully......

Cleaning

Cleaning

Lick Paw Paw

My pink tongue

Taro's cleaning skills have gotten betten. He doesnt leave milk below his chin anymore.

Taro's Play time

Tearing down my ugly house

This pet house is meant for him to sleep in, but he used it as a toy, scratching on it till it tumbles.

Give me that

He loves the sound of bell, it drives him crazy.

Bag bag

We got him this bag, and he enjoy grabbing it with his mouth or holding it with his paws and do forward rolls with it. He looks really funny as he now have a round butt, therefore he looks like a fat cat trying to be a gymnast.

Day 6: Taro is so tired

woooo...I am so tired

It was really windy when we took him out today, the weather seem to change a little overnight. It has been 6 days since we bought Taro out of the building. He did struggle a little but when his daddy carried him, he just stopped struggling and be a good boy. We met up with his previous owners and they brought his real dad along to the park with us. We had a great time at the park and Taro was a goodie. He didn't get all mischievous even though there were lots of distractions around such as pigeons, children and etc.

After that, we dropped by the previous owner's place, where Taro got to meet his mum. It was a pity that I didn't have a camera with me to capture the moment where Taro met his mama and surprisingly they still remember each other as Taro was trying to get some milk out of his mum. (It was such as waste not to capture it...awwwwww)

Taro had great fun, he even used his daddy cat litter when he was there and had some of their cat biscuits. And it was the first time, we saw Taro tried dried whitebaits that his mum and dad don't eat. He also tried several other flavour such as vege and cheese kitty biscuits.

When we brought him home, he went straight to his food. After that I bath him but he struggle and meow non stop and scratched me so i had to get his dad to clean him up. Luckily, during the blow drying session with a noisy hair dryer, he was pretty clam and stop struggling.

Then my hubby and i went out for dinner and when we came home, we found Taro asleep, he was so tried that nothing in the world can seems to wake him up. And i think he sleepiness is so influential that he got his dad sleepy too.... While, mami (I) took the opportunity to do some blog updates and housework.

I was looking at both of them while capturing the picture below, tearing my hair out and screaming "I want to sleep too..."

Daddy and Taro ZZZZZZ time
